COLONIAL SECRETARY EXPLAINS HOW TRIANGULAR
DIFFERENCE WAS HANDLED.
It was announced by the Hon. Mr. E. B. Hallifax, at a meeting of the Finance Committee of the Legislative Council yesterday that a contribution of $105,000 by the Government to the Kowloon Tong building scheme finally disposes of a matter which has been outstanding for a long time between subscribers and pro- motors of the Kowloon Tong scheme.
The Colonial Secretary oxplained that owing to the troubles of 1992 and again of 1925, very, heavy inonenses to the original cosi wore incurred and as a result there was at one time foar of a serious litigation between Government and the Company and the aubscribers.
