SURVIVOR'S STORY.
A verdict of nocidental death was recorded at the inquest on Mr. George Ernest Villiers, aged 18, who was killed when a civil nero- plane crashed in a field near Hon- don R.A.F. Aerodrome in June.
Mr. Villiors was a son of the late Mr. Ernest Amhurst Villiers, M. P. for. Brighton from 1905-10, and the Hon. Mrs. Ernest Villiera. of Homington House, Salisbury.

The Buchaille Etive, at the head of Glencor, Argyllshire, has been the scene of a mountaineering a cident. Mr. Norman W. Mowbray, who was killed, and two compan- ons, all experienced mountaineers, libod the mountain by the Crow- berry Ridge, and having taken off the rope were walking up the final slope to the cairn. At this point Mr. Mowbray was walking over some rocks when apparently ha missed his footing and slipped on to the grassy, slopes.
Unable to stop himself, he was thrown over the cliffs of the north-east fact of the nountain-a drop of about 300 feet.
The accident happened about six o'clock in the evening, and Mr. Mowbray's two friends, spent the romalaing hours of light search ing for their companion among the rocks and gullick. About eight e clock they located the body, but *were unable to reich it.
