SOCKS.
Your attire, broadly speaking, is built on a foundation of sock. There's a lot of real com. fort or otherwise in a pair of socks not necessarily physical comfort..
Let them, your socks, fit your feet like gloves do your hands. Let them be unostentatious, but still sufficiently obvious to proclaim them. selves as good socks. If they are good socks. If, in short, they are our socks.
There's not a cheap-looking sock among all we have to show you
and we can still
surprise you pleasantly with the price we ask.

ZORHAN REDEEMS HIMSELF: WINS FIVE FURLONGS RACE IN EFFORTLESS MANNER.
MR. DA ROZA THE MOST SUCCESSFUL JOCKEY: WINS SEVEN OUT OF
FIFTEEN OFFICIAL RACES IN TWO DAYS.
NATIONALIST IL. HARD PRESSED BY WINDSOR STAG.
[BY "MORNING DEW.").
Mr. G. U. Ja Roza was outstandingly the most succeseful jockey during the Eighth Extra Race Morting. Out of the thirteen times he started he obtained seven wins, three seconds and two thirds, being unplaced only once!
Saturday's sport was marked by the great performance of Zorhan who won the five fur longs in effortless manner, and returned a time which was only three-filths of a second behind that of the record set by Apollo at the Annual Meeting.
Pagoda and Nationalist II. repeated their victories of the first day. Nationalist II. hnd all his work cut out, to accure victory against Windsor Stag, who after leading all the way, was passed by the ultimate winner in the straight. Windsor Stag made a determined effort to re- cstablish a lead and this resulted in a thrilling finish at a gruelling pass in which Nationalist II. stalled off the Stag by three quarters, of a length. This was undoubtedly the greatest raco of the meeting.
Below will be found, a running comment of the day's racing, together with full cash sweeps, betting and pari-mutuel details,

Polo Scurry.
Polo players must have been sur- prised to find Grey Dawn so well backed, as it must be a puzzle to them no to how the public knew enough about him to back him with such confidence. Grey Dawn took the lend and increased it with every stride, finishing five lengths in front of Sucre, who was in turn two longths in front of Grey Mouse.
Funnan Handicap "B" Class. Why Grenadier and Teuchit, both of whom were scounted for by Pagoda in the previous day should have been made bigger favourites than Pagoda is difficult to imagine, but the fact remains that they wore. Pagoda and Teuchit got well away nt the start, but Teuchit faded out before half the distance was over and never looked at any stage like n winner. He was all finished by the time the straight was reached. The field looked like a mass of moving colours as it entered the straight, but half-way up, Pagoda's colours could be
