Accidents, too, have occurred, but these have béon hushed up, as the guides rofuse to make statements as to the original number of their parties, and the eoigrants themselves,, when they arrive at Zermati, aro only anxious to reach the French frontier as soon as possibile,
This system began in 1928, but then the parties wore Fow and far between. Their nunder grew con siderably last winter, and this year already more than six hundred Italians are said to have made the Prossing.
