FRIENDLY MATCHES OVER F." "GROVES QUALIFIES FOR

THE WEEK-END

A. RUMJAHN SCORES SEASON'S FIRST CENTRY.

[BY "L.B.W."]

Three friendly games were played in the second division last Satur- day; two batsmen topped the ball- century mark, and the bowlers also came to the fore.

C. F. Alexander, the Police left- hand all-rounder, was in great form with the bat. He took 70 not out out of the Kowloon Cricket Club bowlers in a fine knock and it was chiefly due to this that the Police wan by three wickets.

I notice that fex' turned out for the Kowloon seconds, and if he is going to play for them throughout the season, he will indeed strengthen the side considerably. for in addition to bring a good wicket-keeper, he uglit to be able to get some ruus against the second division bowlers. He plays a very steady game-tos steady at times, but if he does get going he brings off some really pretty shota. F. S. W. Smith also
