NEW SYSTEM OF REFUELLING.
Berlin, Angust-27-German pilots, are now preparing, to break. the American endurance flight re- cord by using a new system of re fuelling and re-provisioning in the air.
This system, devised and patent- ed by the German war ace Dr. Angermund, dispenses with the second plane and the refuelling by rubberhose which always involves a certain element of danger. Instead, a huge structure resembling gallows will be erected on the avis- tion field. On the cross-piece of this structure is placed whatever the flyers need, fuel and oil in cans, food, etc., all attached to a large hoop.
The plane is equipped with corresponding hook and all the fyers have to do is to swoop down and pick-up their stores which are casily hauled into the plane through a special apparatus. A certain amount of dexterity is needed for the achievement but Dr. Angor-
