Nett decrease,

£515 9 1-but, deducting the amount received as above for PAWN-

BROKERS' LICENSES, the actual estimated decrease is £223 15s. 9d.

D. TAXES, POLICE ASSESSMENT,-The estimated decrease as compared with the Receipts in 1851, is £158 188. 9d., but is £100 in

excess of the amount estimated for 1852.

E. FINES, FEES, AND FORFEITURES OF COURTS, The estimated decrease of £125 6s. 8d., is based on the Collections made during the

first half of the Year 1851.

F. FEES OF OFFICES,-The estimated increase of £131 78. 94d., arises from Fees on Registering Boats and Hawkers, the Annual Fees payable for which, having, during the latter part of 1851, been received for a broken period only, makes the principal amount payable in the first Quarter of each Year.

G. The large amount received in 1851 as REIMBURSEMENTS IN AID OF EXPENSES INCURRED BY GOVERNMENT, was for French Prisoners

ex Albert, provisioned in Victoria Gaol, and for extra Police employed to guard the Naval Stores, &c.

The difference under the other Heads of Receipts is accidental,
