LAWN BOWLS LEAGUE
MATCHES.
CRAIGENGOWER BEAT THE CIVIL SERVICE IN THEIR FIRST MATCH:
BOWLING GREEN JUNIORS LOSE TO THEIR VALLEY RIVALS,
TAIKOO LOSE THE "DERBY."
Craigengower senior lawn bowls team took the lead over Civil Service 0.0 by a "convincing victory on their home ground in the presence of a large number of spectators. There was good play on both sides, but the champions seemed to have caught their neighbours on an off-day.
To make up for the downfall of the senior team, the Civil Service junior string turned the talbes on the Bowling Green Club and retrieved the points which they lost in Kowloon. Civil Ser vice have an easier task in the remaining two matches than their rivals and are likely to carry off the honours.
Among the other matches, Kowloon Dock avenged their away, defeat by beating Taikoo on all rinks. Craigengower juniors visited the Yacht Club' one man short and had to forfeit a per- centage of the points, the home team winning by eight shots. RESULTS AT A GLANCE.

LAWN TENNIS.
CHINESE AND INDIANS
WELL-PLACED.

Despite the excellent weather on Saturday, no league tennis matches wore decided and it seems that the majority of those who take part in the competitions are fed up with league tennis already, bathing, picnics and trips on motor cars coming in for more favour.
There is no change in the league table as the Indians have retained their place at the top of the "A" division by virtue of their win. over their nearest rivals, Kowloon Cricket Club, last Friday:

It was rather disappointing to the VRC team to have to swim over by themselves as neither the Kowloon S.C. nor the Chlness team put in an appearance. With John- stone out of it, the V.R.C., consist ing of Lawrence, Gittins, Amery and Roza Pereira attempted to beat. the bath record which stands at 2 mins 11:4/3 secs.
