The Portuguese community lost a popular member when Mrs. P. I M. Barros, wife of Mr. J. C, Barros of the General Post Office, passed away at her residence at 063, Nathan Road, Kowloon, on Friday afternoon.

For the past ten weeks Mrs." Barros had been confined to her bed, but her condition was not alarming until a week or so ago, when, it is understood, she sank rapidly. She was 48 years of age.

Of a genial disposition, the late 31rs. Barros will be mouraed by many friends, whose sympathy wil! so doubt be extended to her hus- band, Mr. Barros, and their three sons and three daughters.
