The U.S.A Farm Board has re- duced its buying limits, and it is said that the Board wishes to come to an export parity with its Wheat as its elevators are about full, and the new crop continues to promise well. Reports of crop damage, however, true or untrue, are dure to be circulated shortly. So far, however, U.S.A, Wheat is quita out. of parity.
is more The Canadian Pool anxious to sell and keeps, offering C.i.f. Wheat at less than the ad- vances registered in the Winnipeg futures market. The Pool, how ever, is not making much progress. Good business has been done in Australian Wheat, as shippers re dured the price of their afont Wheat to a much lower parity.

COMMUNISTS GAOLED IN DAILY SHARE QUOTATIONS.
NEW YORK.
SEQUEL TO DEMONSTRA- TIONS HELD RECENTLY,,
[UNITED PRESS. ]
New York, April 21-William Foster and three other Communist leaders were sentenced to prison terms ranging from one day to three years today. The men were convicted of agitation against pub- lic order as a result of Communist demonstrations here during the past three months.
Mr. Foster and three others, were arraigned in the Magistrate's court in New York on March 11 on charges of felonious assault and were described by the police depart meht as communist pests of which the city should be rid."
Mr Foster was ordered to be held without bail, despite the protests of his attorney, when the magistrate learned that the accused had served 119 11930 days in prison in Spokane, 30 391 Wash, in 1907, for violation of
Jag the Free Speech Act. The Inter 8582 national Labour Detence, which al 30ready had provided bail of 82,500 26 85 191 181 each for the accused, announced it 8 would week bail on the second 181 128 charge.

Local stocks are not decreasing as fast as expected, and there are one or two cargoes heading for
Liverpool for tendering purposes. small at Shipments keep 1,060,000 gr. against 1,301,000 qrs last week. On Passage: 4,480,000, qrs, against 4,812,000 last week.
It is dificult to express a strong opinion at the present time, as in view of the Canadian Pool and of the U.S.A. Farm Board, ordinary market factors have not the usual influence, and finance generally continue's to play 1 prominent part.
amart There are bound to be fluctuations at the present level, and we continue to feel that sales ir really strong markets or pur: chases in very weak markets will show. reasonable profits.

Our Chicago correspondents cabl ed last night:-
1-A liberal snowfall in the Winter Wheat belt has improved the Winter Wheat outlook, and the, erop condition is probably above normal. The market needs fresh Incentives to maintain rallies.
2. The small export demand for American Wheat appears, the prin cipal depressing influence at pre- sent. As long as thore .is, nu sexi- ous deterioration to Winter Wheat prospects, sentiment will lean-to- the short side, particularly new crop' futures.
3. It believed that arrange ments have been completed to move. Govrament held Wheat received on May contracts to millere, the price being fixed on the basis of four sales as and when mado, We fear May shorts will have difficulty in delivering on contract, even though the arrangement will make increas cd storage space available. The discount of July and September under May is expected to increase, The fear abroad of an invasion of Government owned Whoat should disappear.
Corn: The movement it expected to be light, but the market is sub- jestehandlenge of Wheat believe that the difference between July Corn and July Wheat will
"narrow.
Oats: Oite should follow Corn. Rye: Ryc is cheap, but specula tive intera is light.

The Recorder, Sir Ernest Wild.". K.C., explained the law regarding suicide pacte to the Grand Jury at the opening of the Old Bailey Sessions last month. There were, he said, two alleged cases of this nature in the calendar, which cop- tained the names of 83 persons. It cannot be too clearly under- stood that the law of England-anys if two people agree to commit sui- eide, and one succeeds and the other fails, the one who fails is guilty of the murder of the other," he said.
