The market does not present any out standing feature nor is there any material change to report, the situa tion still being governed by the maintenance of the price of Elec trolytic at 18.30 cents c.i.f.. and to the support which is afforded from time to time to the standard mar ket in London. 'The slight improve ment in sentiment has Intterly stimulated a little demand, but buyers can searely be expected to take an active interest whilst the present artificial position is main- tained.

Lead has displayed a "good deal ..of activity but the price, remaining steady, shows practically no change ne compared with last week. The low price and the rather better at mosphere surrounding market, gen erally continued to attract a fairly large volume of bear covering and professional buying, whilst demand of the part of consumers, stimulat ed by better sentiment, showed some improvement. The demand, how- ever, was very freely met by in tercata 'representing the Association... which checked any recovery that might otherwis have taken place.. The technical position as the no- cannot be so favourable, having in vier the beavy buying which has recently occurred, and as demand now may slacken a little; buyers having for the time satie- fied their requirements, some slight recession in vilues may ensuc.
