Before passing the Annual Report and Statement of Accounts for 1929, I should like to make a few remarks in regard to our year's work. Be fore proceeding I wish to thank the hembers of the Commitice for the good work and time they have given so cheerfully, enabling me to present such an excellent Report-Songs and Balance Sheet.

You will, if you carefully inspect the club, see that a good deal of attention has been given to renovat- ing and bringing our premises into its present excellent condition. You will observe from the accounts that we have written off $1,596.69, and commence 1850 with a cash balance of $1,236.88. This, gentlemen, cua. sidering the bad times everybody in the Colony has experienced, reflects great credit on your Committee. We enrolled during the year 48 new members, and I would ask you all to induce your friends to join the Victoria Recreation Club. We have a membership of 151 members, but during 1930 I should like to see it stand at about 230 at least.

Election of Officers.

Mr. Logan addressing the meeting. said that he had received a letter Irom the Hon. W. T. Southern. C.M.G. (OBeer Administrating the "Government) regretting his in- ability to be present at the meeting. He was, however, extremely pleased to know that, the Club was flourish. ing, and intimated his willingnces to accept the poat of Chairman once again.
