The rules are as follow:-

A certificate of Honour shall consist of a scroll, bearing the par- trait of His Majesty the King and the signature and seal of His Ex- cellency the Governor and Comman- der-in-Chief or of the Officer Ad- ministering the Government.
2. Recipients of a Certificate of Honour shall be entitled to wear around the neck, pendent from a ribbon coloured red, white and blue forty inches in length and one and a half inches wide, a silver gilt Badge, bearing on the obverse the approved portrait of His Mo jesty the King, and on the reverse the badge of the Colony recompani ed by the inscription in English characters "Hong Kong "
3. The Badge of the Certificate of Honour may be worn on cere monial occasions and on occasions when Orders, Decorations and Me dals are

4. Certificates of Honour, shall only be awarded to persons who have resided in Celany of Hong Kong for a period of at least fifteen jears; provided that in cases of extraordinary merit the Certificate may be awarded to persons whe have so resided for a less period than fifteen years. The total num- ber of holders of the Certificates of Honour shall not exceed 10 at any one time.
3. Notification of the award of Certificates of Honour shall or dinarily be made in a special "Honours" supplement of the Gar ernment Gazette, to be published on the birthday of His Majesty the King.
B. At the first convenient date after such notification the recipi ent of a Certificate of Honour shall, on a ceremonial occasion, be invest-
ed with the ribbon and badge toget her with the scroll of a Certificate of Honour by the Governor on be half of His Majesty the King, or by such person as he shall designate to represent him for that purpose. 7. any person to whom the Certificate has been awarded shall be guilty of misconduct or of dis- loyalty to the Government he may be deprived of it by the Governor of Office Administering the Gov ernment, who shall have power also to restore it to him.

Upon forfeiture of the Cer tilicate or upon the death of any recipient the badge shall be return ed forthwith to the Governor or Officer Administering the Govern ment unless he shall in any in- stance deem otherwise expedient; but in a case shall the badge. be worn by any other than the person to whom the Certificate was award-
ed.

was alongside HM.S. Cornwall, at Shanghai, on Friday. It is reported that slight damage was done to the gunboat while the Kashmir was apparently, undamaged.
Another Japanese Boat In Trouble.
The third mishap to be reported,
was to the grounding of the a Tetsuzan Maru, while on her way. from Port Corbet to Swatow. She ran ashore in Hainan Strait.
Interviewed by a Daily Press ro presentative, an official of Messrs. Wada & Co., said that they had re- ceived a message giving the position where the vessel had grounded and adding that she was in no im mediate danger. No further news is available, but the owners, who are a Japanese firm, have been in- formed.
