It appeared at one. time that the appropriation would be defeated and that the Coalition Government might resign in consequence.. The Communists opposed this item and the Nation- alists made known their opposition to the Budget as a whole. The Socialist members of the Reichstag aiso announced their opposition in the face of the decision of the So- cialist Cabinet members to support
