Last Season: No Results-R.A. Now Toam.
Last season's champions, the Hong Kong Cricket Club bad things very much their own way when they entertained the Royal Artillery. The Gunners batted first and Lieut. Musson, fresh from his Interport experiences, knocked up 52 runs out of a total of 120 runs. The Club tried four bowlers and Divett was again to the fore with 5 wickets for 43 runs.
Thaaks to some good, batting on the part of Moor, who was top- scorer with 55 (not out), Armstrong (44) and Lammert (33), the home eleven won comfortably by D wickets, The visiting bowlers were doing anything worthy of note.

I.R.C. & C.S.c.C.
Last Season: L.R.C. Won by 5 Wickets. Another surprise was in store for the 1.R.C. juniors when they were nt home to the Civil Service Cricket Club seconds. The visitors won the toss and elected to bat but they were soon dismissed for the small total of 05. Randle made 28 in quick time, but Chittendon's 13 was the result of a painfully slow knock. A. K. Ismail (2 for 12) and Arculli (2 for 11) were the most successful bowlers.
The Indians started their innings very well, but after Madar, who was top-scorer with 25 runs, was out, the remaining wickets fell like ninepips and the side was dismissed for only 60 runs. Randle took 5 wickets for ID runs while Edmonds captured 4 for '21.

LESSON SERMON.
FIRST CHURCH OF CHRIST, SCIENTIST, HONG KONG.
"Mortals and ̋ immortals” was the subject of the Lesson-Sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday, November 17.
The Golden Text was: "We that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be awal- lowed up of life" (11 Cor. 5:4).
Among the citations which com- prised the Lesson-Sermon was the following from the Bible: "Be not thou ashamed of the testimony of our Lord... but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel nes cording to the power of God. Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according purpose and grace, which was given our works, but according to his own
ua in Christ Jesus...who hath abolished death, und hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel" (11 Tim. 1: 8- 10).
The Lesson-Sermon also includ ed the following passages from the Christian Science text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," by Mary Baker Eddy "The fact that the Christ, or Truth overcome and still overcomes death proves the "king of terrors" to be but à mortal belief...The bc- with matter uns He results, of the-universal law of mortal mind; in a belief in death..but the fact remains, that God's universe is spiritual and immortal" (p. 280)
