of $981:30 ns against last yeng'a profit of 3666.66 a difference of 11.03. The surpits on the gen- eral account is also less by $238,76 than last year.

The cause of this regrettable state of affairs is lack of support by the general public to the Association's Touronnients during the season an der review. The houses were poor J. Harrop and W. and there was a particular falling off the attendances in the ring Į side seats.

In the opinion of the General Committer the standard of boxing was" well maintained dering the season, and there appears to be no good reason to explain this lack of support. We ran only hope that the coming season will show a great improvment in attendances at the Tournaments without, which it will be impossible to continue the activities of the Association.

The General Committee believe that the Association is of consider able value to the Services and the public in general' and for one

necessary to shut down.

Danger of Having to Close Down.

Mr. G. G. N. Tinson in scconut- ing the report and accounts stress- ed the need for more support for the Association and warmed the an ing that they would have to close down unless better support was given. He would like to see, more people in the ringside seats. The Association had tried staging con- tests in the Ming Yuen Gardens and at Lee Theatre, but the finan- cial results in both cases did not justify going to these places again, Mr. Tinson went over the figures and painted out that the loss was in some degree traceable to the fact that one less tournament was held last year than usual. While the average expenditure was about the samme last year as in previous years, the average receipta were very much less.

The speaker said that he hoped that the $3 seats will be better patronised this year adding that experience showed that the Theatre Royal was the best place to stage contests.

It would be criminal, said Mr. Tinson, to close down the Asso- ciation which was started after the War as successor to the Police Reserve Boxing Association. The present Association had done Dancing Programme.
