V.R.C. RETAINS CHAMPIONSHIP.

The Water Polo League was brought to a close yesterday afternoon when the V.R.C. "A" played the. Kowloon "A" and the VR C.B" played the Chinese B." The V.R.C. scored a double victory. Thus their "A" team won the chuunpionship. Kowloon "A" because of the defent of the Chinese team Inst aight, finished up runners-up in the league.

The game between the V.R.C. "A" and the Kowloon "A" was undoubtedly the match of the season, and as predicted, a large crowd of supporters of both Clubs were present at the scheduled hour.

There was some "foul play, and in the second half both Soares and Simpson were ordered out of the water. After a goal had been scared they re-entered the bath, but continual fouling led the referee to order both players out for good. But for this, the match was of a high standard, the pace was fast, the forwards active and the defence sound.
