Due to a drop in prices, there has been a healthy demand for Chinese flour. Foreign flour has been in less demand in consequence, and prices have fallca.

Moscow. A large impetus to the domestic tea-growing industry e. the Soviet Union may be one of the indirect results of the recent rup- ture of diplomatic and commercial $37 relations with China.
Successful efforts in the, creation of tea plantations have been made in the last two years in the Soviet Republic of Georgia, in the Cacnusus, the crop this year having been sufficiently large to affect sharply the imports from China. The sudden total exclusion of Chinese tea has emphasized the advisability of a home-grown pro- duct and will lead to an intensifica tion of the Georgian efforts.
