S.S. ATHELKING'S BIG CARGO
OF MOLASSES.
The .s. Athelking (British) which arrived here on Sunday from Soura- baya and Semarang paid her first visit to this port. She brought & large cargo
of 19,100 tone of molazzes in bulk for the Pure Cane Molasses Company. She is moored to the Company's Wharf at Shan Taeng Bay on the Castle Peak Road,
The vessel was built in 1998 by Messrs. Swan Hunter and Wickham Richardson, Ltd, of Newcastle for the British Molasses Co., Ltd., of London. She has a nett tonnage of 0,019 tons. Eer dimensions are: Length 474.9 feet, beam 64.4 fest, and depth 36.5 feet. Captain J. T Taylor is in command with a British crew of 39.

A Chinese was charged before Mr. T, S. Whyte-Smith at the Kox- loon Magistracy yesterday with stealing a watch from Mr. Ulbright of the e.s. Coblenz.
Detective-Sergt. Humphreys who was in charge of the case informed his Worship that the vessel was due 90 2,870 to return on September 21. He in- timated that the Company were pressing the charge and it was at their request that the defendant was held.
