A feature of last week's matches in the Steel Coulson Cap competition was the all round victory of St. Patrick's Club at home against Craigongower. They were also successful in their away fx- ture and this has placed them well at the top of the League table. Somerset Sergeants also won on all tables at home.

CANTON TRADE NOTES.
The exchange rate for Hong Kong currency has risen sharply, the present rate being about $1.34 Canton to 81. Hong Kong.
Large consignments of native goods from Kiangai and Hunan have been arriving since peace has been restored in northern Kwang- tung.
There has been a growing de mand for raw silk from foreign merchants. On Friday 440 bales of No. 14/16 raw silk were sold, the price being H.K. 8085 per
