A NEW BRITISH ARRIVAL.
Arriving here on Saturday, the .. Davleen paid her first visit to this part. The vessel is owned by the United Steam Navigation Co., Ltd., of Newcastle-on-Tyne, for whom Mesars, Gibb Livingstone & Company are the local agents.
She arrived from Hull and Cal cutta with 2,815 tons of coal for Hong Kong and 2,100 tons for through ports. She was built in 1927 at the Scott's Steam Boat Co., Ltd., Greenock, with a bett tonnage of 3,171 tons and gross, 3,193 tons. Her engines were installed by the builders. The vessel's dimensions 520 are Length, 408.9 feet; Beam, 52.3 feet and Length, 29.3 feet. Capt 1,5759,710 4. White is in command with a British crew of 37.
