TRAGEDY IN QUEENSLAND.
A Mackay message says that the Eton police visited the home of an elderly orchardist, named Gordon, and found Mrs. Gordon lying dead on the floor in a pool of blood, with her head `shockingly battered.
There was also evidence of her. clothes having been on fire.
