MARINE COURT CASES.
A seaman from a Chinese junk was summoned before Cdr. J. B. Newill, D..O., R.N., at the Marine Court yesterday morning for anchoring his boat in other than a dangerous goods anchorage when he had six cases of dynamite on board. At the time of arrest, April 94, his craft was at the Shamshuipo anchorage. Defendant pleaded guilty but said he did not know the regula tions. The coxswain was then on board but he did not come forward. Defendant, did not ask him to come up as he did not know he was going to be arrested. In answer to a further question accused said the Coxswain was now on board.
He was fined $93.
Deaths at Sea,
One death (Chinese male deck passenger) from Beri-Beri was re- ported by the master of the Hosang when the vessel arrived from Sin- gapore and Calcutta yesterday.
