WHAT YOUR HANDS MEAN.

CHARACTER IN THE FINGER TIPS.

THE SECRET OF LOVELY HANDS,

A number of women are born to rock the cradle. Others are pro- destined to be happiest piloting an airplane or hewing out other carcers Jor themselves.

Some women will and the world of men at their feet with no effort on their part. Others are fated to go the lone way.

These and other potent character- istics of people are revealed note by word of mouth nor by glance of eye, but by the unconscious move ment and the shape and character of their bands.

Tell-Tale Indicator. Hands are the most tell-tale in dicator of character that human A woman can shut beings have. her eyes. She can seal her lips. Her hands will tell the truth about "her character. In fact, her hands may tell much more about hersel! than she herself knows.

The general shape, the width across at various intervals, the length of fingers, shape, and pro- portion to the palm, the thickness and modelling in general, and the traceries of blood vessels all tell their story. Moreover, the move- ment of hands is fully as important as shape.

One's little Sagers and thumbs are tell-tale digits.

די

If there is a short distance be- tween the end of the thumb and the top joint it indicates a narrow mind, ignorance, sentimentalizm.

What Thumbs Reveal. The distance and shape of the second joint of the thumb are im- portant. The balanced person has a thumb that is slightly narrower between the joints than above the first joint. It must slope in a little or it indicates ignorance. But if it slopes too much, if the space is too thin, it indicates an egoist.

As the thumb tells. strength of character, determination and intel- ligence, so the little finger is the index to sensitiveness and culture.

Crooked little üngers shew arrest-

The

The general shape of hands tells the tale when fingers are consider- ed also. The round, sweet, full feminine hand, for instance, may belong to the temperament that is exceeding hard. She may love one day and hate the next, and she always hates wholeheartedly.

The mother hand, the band of the home-lover, is one that is broad at the base stopping gently until the width just below the fingers is much narrower than at the base of the hand.

Her carcerist sister, however, is apt to have a hand that is much wider across just at the base of the fingers than ucar the wrist. Her fingers may be long but not so gently tapering, and they are apt to be flat on the ends. Sometimes her fingers are quite long and cap able looking. There are apt to be many bine veins on the back of her hand.

to

Your Share in Your Fate. It is obviously impossible change the bony structure of your hands, but a very great deal enn be done by massage and general care of the hands. In order to make the fingers alender and, give them a good shape they should be mas- suged with cream or warm oil as though you were putting on gloves.

Much depends on your confidence in your hands. If you know that they are well kept and well mani- cured you will like to show them and so if you are wise, will study in which poses they look best. The charm and grace of hands depends very much on their control, hands that are constantly fluttering shout ar seldom so lovely as those in re- pose.
