MARINE COURT CASES.

The master of a cargo boat was fined 85 at the Marine Court yester- day for making fast ontaldo of fire ober boats already alongside the Botnia The mistress of another cargo bost committed a similar j' offence, the vessel in this instance being the Hsin Foo Sing. She was also fined 85.

Piratas!

The master of the Lushan Maru reported that twelve Chinese passengers, who proved to be a gang of pirates, were arrested on board his ship at Shanghai on 19th inst.

Geneva, April 11.-The report received here to the effect that the Spanish Government has just de cided to build as soon as possible 8 cruisers, deatroyers and 14 sub- marines has caused quite a sensa- tion in League of Nations circles, which are at present flooded with' petitions and pamphlets from all parts of the world asking for the forthcoming preparatory Disarma- ment, conference to come quickly to a definite tinderstanding concern- ing actual disarmament.

AIRPLANE CRASH ————————— Mexico City, April 10.-Five per- sons were killed to-day when a one- motored airplane of the Mexican Aviation Company crashed to earth near the air field here.

The machine, one of the regular passenger airplanes of the Mexico City-Brownsville, Tex., line, was departing for Brownsville and had risen only 100 feet in the air when it suddenly nose-dived and crashed into the ground.
