Lee was in fine bowling form and took 4 wickets for 25 Anderson captured 4 ler 26. Batting consistently the Varsity passed their oponents' score for the loss of the fourth. wicket and went on to make 170 for 8 wickets, A. T. Lee (43) and S. V. Gittins (42) were top scorers. Licut. At Scokunpoo the _R.A O.C. de- feated the Electric B.C. by 107 runs. The R.A.O.C. batted first and thanks to the consistency of the opening batsmen the team was able to declare with 171 wickets. In reply, the Electric could only muster 64 runs. Sergt. Anderson took 8 wickets for 99 runs and was mainly responsible for the Electrics collapse. W N. H. Murdock was top scorer for the Electric with 24 runa.

had to fight for every run. 200 WIS reached without further loss, and then-Kippax called for a fourth run after a big hit. Ryder, however, refused and both batamen were left at the same end, and Tate easily broke the wicket.

The Combined Services beat the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club in yesterday's sailing match by 119 points to 100. The Club won the morning race by 57 points to 49, but in the afternoon the Service men completely turned the tables scoring 63 points to the Club's 43. The officers for the day were Mr. A. L. Shields (Commodore), Lieut.- Comdr. Drummond, R.N., and Lieut. Col. Cardew, Chief Yeoman of Signala J. Butland being official time-keeper.
