On Friday, March 1st, the Far East Aviation Company delivered the first four Avro "Avian "
machines fitted with Cirrus Mark III, engines to the Canton Aviation Bureau. On Saturday morning the work of unpacking the machines was carried out and the "undercarriages were fitted. On Monday the work of erecting the planes was started in earnest, and by Tuesday evening the four machines were practically ready for test; one actually had its engine run just before work finished, **

On Wednesday morning engines were tested on the ground, no trouble being experienced with starting Then about 10.30 Colonel Chau, the pilot of the Byan Seaplane that few round China, and Commanding Officer of the Training School as Tai Sha Tau, took the first Avine into the air.
