The vessel did not go into deck on arrival here, but äfter a brief survey by the Master and Govern ment surveyors, the slight damaged was repaired while the vessel was at her wharf. She sailed last night for Wuchow.
A similar incident occurred to the samo vessel on the night of January 2,493 1st. Near Shut Hing, a sudden impact was felt as if passing over the wreckage of a junk. The vessel was drawing 9 feet of water at 3,800 the time, and later it was found that the remant casing was alight. ly damaged..

New Mathilde (British) arrived from Haiphong and Pakhoj with 80-tons of general cargo and 1,600 tons of coal for Hong Kong.
Kaitsu Maru..(Japanese) arrived from Foochow and Kusang with 800 tens of coal for this port and 900 toas for other ports.
"A New Japanese Arrival. The 1s Sappro Maru, No. 12 which arrived here yesterday from Sakito is a new comer to the port. Hessra. Mitsubishi Shoji Kaisha, Ltd., are the local agents. The vessel carried 2,400 tons of coal for this part, Captain J. Monsi is'in command.
The vessel was built in 1903 by Messrs. J. Blumer & Company of Sunderland, for the Inukami Eligoro & Company. Her nett ton- nage is 1,753 tons and gross, 2,865 tons. Her engines, which develop 238 N.H.P., were installed by Messrs. J. Dickinson & Co., Ltd, of Sunderland The dimensions are: Length 390 ft., Beam 48 to, and Depth 31.2 ft. She was formerly the "Ingeborg Larsen, later the "Ida Zelit" and the Portland."
