All the credit for this was not due to the Association as they owed and a great deal to the wise thoughtful decisions of the Roads Department of the Public Works who so courteously considered any recommendations the Association put forward.

When the wide 78 and 100-foot ronda were opened on the new Praya East Reclamation and carri ed through from Arsenal Street to Shaukiwan, any old resident re- turning to this Colony would find a splendid and amazing trans- formation.
