SHIPPING MOVEMENTS. The RMS. Empress of Asia ar- rived at Nagasaki on January 27th at 9.30 pm and was due to leave yesterday morning, and to arrive at Kobe to-day (Tuesday) at 6 am.

The R.M.S. Empress of Russia, from Hong Kong on January 9th. arrived at Vancouver on January 28th.

The Ben Line s.s. Benledi, from Middlesbro", Dunkirk, Antwerp, London, Straits and Philippines. is due to arrive here on February 6th.

The P.&O. 8.8. Alipore left Shanghai for this port on the 28th inst. at noon, and is due hore to-day, at about 5 p.m.

The P.&O. 8.a. Macedonia. left Singapore for Hong Kong on Sunday at 9 am, with the outward English mails, and is due here on the 31st inst, at about 4 p.m.

The B.I. and Apear Line 3.8. Santhia left Kobe for this port on the 24th inst, and is due here this (Tuesday) morning........

The s.8. Saarland (Hamburg Amerika Linie) left Shanghai où Saturday, the 28th inst., at 4 p.m.. and is due here to-day. She will leave to-morrow (Wednesday) at
