LONDON, Dec. 3th. An earnest appeal on behalf of the Lord Mayor's Fund for the relief of distress in the mining areas was broadcast by the Prince of Wales from London this evening. He emphasised that not only were a quarter of a million miners desti. tute, but three times as many women and children were dependent on them. The greatest service anyone could render at present was to find employment for as many of these men as possible.
