TWENTY-FIVE ARRIVALS, "
Twenty-five arrivals and eighteen departures were shown for the 21 haurs ended at 9 a.m.; and the general merchandise discharged for this port was very high. Through freights also showed an increase aver the previous day's figures, Thirteen, British arrivals and eight departures were showp. British im ports were good, but through cargo was only fair.
Sixteen vessels discharged 4,513 tons of cargo for Hong Kong of which sever British vessels con- tributed 15,874 tons. The best re turn was from the ss. Protesilaus (British) with 10.007 tons from Tacoma (Washington) and Manila The as. Sada Varu (Japanese) from Yokohama and Moji discharg- ed 4,172 tons.
Cargo for through ports amount- ed to 18,905 tons, and of the fifteen carriers, eight were British carry ing 3,692 tons The best carrier was the .s. Indus Maru (Japanese) with 4,071 tons, while the as. Athus JF. (French) carried 2,688 tons from Marseilles and Saigon.

The latest alterations to the Hong Kong, Canton and Macno Steam- boat Service to Canton state that the sis. Taishan, which is at present undergoing her annual overhaul, will completa came by Sunday morning and will berth at the Can ton wharf on Sunday afternoon, sailing for Casson at 10 p.m. The 3. Fatshan will rot. na stated in the previous circular sail at that time for_Canton.
On her arrival at Hong Kong on Monday afternoon, the Lung than will, after discharging ber cargo, proceed to the Kowloon Docks for her annual overhaul, Two O: Three Weeks For Repairs.
The 3.x Fuct On, as already men- tioned, has been taken to the docks for repairs to her propeller shaft and a new starboard propeller.. It is expected that the job will take at least two weeks.

The s.s. Taming (British) which arrived here from Tangky carried one battalion of the 100th French Colonial Infantry, totalling 368 men in, all.

The master of a cargo junk was fined 83 by the Marine Magistrate, Commander J. B. Newill, D.S.O., R.N., at the Harbour Office yester. day morning for mooring his boat inside the Causeway Bay Typhoon | Shelter. The defendant pleaded guilty the offernc.
Asiatic „Deck- Passengers. Fourteen vessels brought 2,209 Asiatic deck passengers to the Colony during the 24 hours ended at 9 alin. yesterday.
