DIVISION 1.

CHINA ATHLETIC POLICE.

The game between the above teams on the leng Kong FC ground attracted a large crowd. H.E. Hajor-General Luard, 1.0.C., and Mrs. Loard watched the game.

The Police were without T. Pile end Howarth, the former being rader treatment for appendicitis. Dram' and Johnstone played inside loft and right wing respectively.

Two niatches were drawn in the second round of the Football Association Cup competition played on Saturday, Scarborough and Darlington scoring two goals each while Fulham, and Luton failed to score. The third round will be played on January 19th when the First and Second Division teams will enter the com- petition.

Spennymoor, who accounted for Hartlepools in the earlier round, were badly beaten by Accrington whose seven goals was the highest score of the day. Norwich defeated Newport 6-0. Chariton and Bournemouth both playing away defeated Northfeet and Guildford respectively by five goals to one.

Owing to fog the First Division League match between Man- chester City and Bury was postponed. Derby County recovered their lost form, and netted six goals against West Ham United Huddersfeld was also in form and bent the Villa. Blackburn Sheffield gave the points to Leeds United in a close game, Wednesday won and still maintain their leadership.

Notts County and Chelsea in the Second Division lost bar point each and together with Hull City, who lost to Blackpool, remain in the same order. Millwall did well the previous week only to lose heavily to Bradford.

Owing to the Cup matches, fewer League games were played in the Third Division, but Wrexham's victory enabled them to again climb to the top of the Northera section. Rochdale scored Nelson gained another seven goals to four against Rotherham. victory and a comfortable one over Ashington.

The unbeaten Scottish Rangers accounted for Aberdeen. Motherwell went down to Dundee. Kilmarnock scored seven goals to one against Raith Rovers. One visiting team succeeding in drawing a match and the others were all beaten.

"REST" BEAT TAIKOO.

The Hong Kong Ladies' Hockey Club played an inter-club match on Saturday afternoon at Eappy Valley and the decision went to the who defeated Taikoo see- Best, tion by five goals to one.

Taikoo scored their only goal early in the game. through Miss N McNellie. Miss D. Stanion soon put the "Best" on level terms, but later had to leave the field for some time with an injured leg. Afte her return, however, she scored an other goal, following one by Mrs. M. Jarvis, which gave the "Rest" a 3-1 lead at half-time.

In the second balf Mrs. F. Webber and Miss D. Stanion increased the lead with a goal each. The game ended in semi-darkness with Taikoo working hard for another goal.
