MACAO SIAC WINS AGGREGATE STAKES.

SOME INTERESTING RESULTS.

[BY EARLY BIRD.)

In glorious sunshine the last meeting of the International Recy and Recreation Club was decided at Macao yesterday afternoon. Backers were not badly treated considering the fact that out of the six events in the programme three favourites were downed.

The principal race of the meeting provided a ding dong finish between two of the contestants Ma Aau Site and My Lady which eventually resulted in the defent of the last named who started favourite. Ma Kau Side annexing the Cup with the big margin of 19 points...

Quite a feature of the meeting was the form which was dis played by some of the new arrivals from Shanghai. Subscribers should be well pleased with their acquisitions as they showed up very creditably with some of our best performers at Macao. This is most gratifying considering they have only been down from the North for such a short period.

I have pencilled" a few of them for the next.occasion they sport ilk. Their performance should serve as a reliable guide as in most cases the new ponies were, ridden by novices and it could be plainly seen that with a little more expert, treament the, pories would have done considerably better. I have no intention of dis- some who will paraging the efforts of the novices, but there are always be a worry to everyone concerned and I am firmly of the opinion that if more attention was paid to the finer points of the game by some of the hang-back brigade the patience of other riders. the starter, the public and the nervous little ponies would not be tried as it is at present.

In marked contrast to other meetings there was a complete ab- which we have been sence-of-the-wretched bunch of also ran used to seeing. Most of the ponies competing-ut-yesterday's meet ing were a great deal better than at other meetings, and while the Club continues to follow their present progtrasive methods it is a certainty that they will retain the good will of loyal supporters.

The Macao Race Club are endeavouring to arrange another meeting which, I hear, will take place on the 13th of January sa I would adviso my readers to put this date by, for the occasion And I can assure them that they will see one of the best meetings the Club have ever held
