A report is current that the .s. Pheumpenh (British) which is own ed by Messrs. Wo Fat Sing & Co. is to be sold to n Shanghai Ship- ping Company for 830,000. The owners, interviewed by our repre sentative stated that negotiations are under way for the sale of the vessel but have not yet been com- pleted

The 8.5. Plumpenh was, learn, bought by the present owners for 933,000 but many improvements, and alterations have been. made since the purchase which took place some twenty years ago.

The as Derwent, owned by Messrs Chin On S.8. Co., Ltd.s}" was also rumoured to have been sold. The owners of this vessel also stated that no sale has actually taken place as yet, but the vessel is in the market.

Details of the two vessels are as follows:-

S.S: Pheumpenh was built in 1879 by Messra. Harland & Wolff of Belfast under the name of s Shahjahan. Her nett tonnage is 1,692 tons, with a gross tonnage of 1,127 tons. Her engines which develope 211 N. H.P. were installed by Messrs. D. Rowan & Sons, of

Her Glasgow.

dimensions Length 305.8 feet, Beam 31.7 feet and Depth 22. feet, Caps. Thomas G. Purvis is in command, and the vessel is on the Saigon-Hong Kong
