SLIGHT INCREASE.
The Finance Office in Tokyo ani nounces that the production of wheat, barley and rye in Japan, inclusive of Hokkaido, for this year totalled 21,120,765 kaku, which was an increase of 0.8 per cent., equival: ent to 181,071 koku as compared with the actual yield of last year.
Of the total, 7,605,818 koku was barley, 7,126,036 kcku ryo, and 6,389,114 kaku whent. The produc- tion of rye showed a decline of 2.5 per cent, equivalent to 187,867
