The general cargo returns ing the weekend were good, included heavy contributions from British vessela. Both local imports and through freight were.very good for Saturday, especially the latter which exceeded 30,000 tons from eleven carriers. Sunday's figures were only normal.
Thirty arrivals and thirty-seven departures were shown of which seventeen arrivals and thirteen de partures
British were
vessels. There were 20 departures for the period ending at 9 a.m. yesterday. Saturday's Statement, Sixteen vessels discharged 17,731 tons of merchandise for this port

With twelve arrivets and twenty-Trewellard, Nov. 12th. six departures for the period end. ing at 9 a.m. yesterday the general cargo returns were not particularly good Ten vessels discharged 9.278 tons of merchandise for this port of which 4,051 tons were contribut-
ed by six British ships. The s.s. Limdore (French) from Haiphong. was thown as best carrier with 2,000 tons, followed by the 9.8 Kweyang (British) from "Singa- pore with 1,000 tons.
Six vessels carried 8,360 tons of through freights of which four. British ships carried 5,265 tons. The Ruhr (German) was best carrier with 4,400 tons from Ham- burg, while the Benneuis (British) from London and Singa- pore carried 4,000 tons.

The s. Darcoils (British) which arrived here on Saturday morning is a now comer to the port. The vessel was from Tigal and Manilh and had 4,800 tons of sugar for..this | port and 1,000 tons for ports be- yond. The vessel is owned by the Farco Shipping Company, but is at present under the charter of a Dutch Steamship Company-Java- China-Japan Lijo.
