EFFECTIVE MEASURES.
HARDIN, Sept. 22nd. The Senior Medical Officer of the Plague Prevention Service, Dr. J. W. H. Chaa, states that, according to the latest bulletia from the Tungliso plague area, 159 deaths have bees recorded. Altogether some eight tocalities are involved. The most heavily infected place is still Chieuchiatien, a village 13 miles east of Tunglino. Up-to-date, the type of plague is in bubonic formi. No pneumonic symptoms have been observed.
