SUGGESTED.
The Union of Postal Werkers in Peking has declared a lighting strike in an endeavour to prevent the dismissal of some two hundred postal workers in the city. The effectiveness of the strike is not known at present, but it is feared the service of the mails may be completely stopped.
Efforts are being made to ameliorate the lot of the Chihli- Shantung wounded at the Chien men station, whose terrible plight was reported yesterday. However, though they have now been removed from the station platform to various hospitals, in many cases relief came too late, and a number of the unfortunate soldiers had already died from exposure and lack of attention.
General Li Taung Jen has addressed" a memorandum to the Central Political Council suggesting that a loan of $30,000,000 be fented, and the money used for the completion of the construction of the Canton-Hankow Railway,
A Chinese wireless message states that Hankow is still strongly in favour of the anti-Japanese boycott. At a public demonstra- tion, largely attended by merchants and students, resolutions were adopted for the continuation of the mavement.

It appears from official reports of the incidents that in connection with the Hindu Ganpathi Festival, a long precession was passing through the streets carrying an image of Ganpathi (The God of Wisdom).
The Mohammedans molested the Hindus taking part in the celebra tions, the disturbances finally de veloping into serious assaults.;
