LOCAL IMPORTS IMPROVE.
With twenty-one arrivals and fifteen departures during the 24 hours ended at 9 am yesterday. The local imports showed a slight increase over the previous day's figures. Through freights remain ed at a very good total. Seven ar- rivals and five departure were British ships, but only a amall portion of the through cargo was carried by British ships.
