SOUTH CHINA BEAT HONG KONG C.C.

· INTERESTING PROGRAMME.

An interesting programme. was carried out on Saturday in the Tennis League, several matches with important results being decid. ed:

The match between the Chinese

Recreation Club and the Nippon

Club in the Division did not attract much attention as it was generally expected that the former would be too good, but the match had some importance in that the Chinese were playing their last game of the season. They won, as expected. By virtue

The Chinese have done excep tionally well this season and their performances have been even better than those of the two previous years when they also won the League. Like the "A" team they had little difficulty in accounting for their opponents and no team this season has extended them. Last year the Chinese "B" lost to strong U.S.R.C. team and scraped through the game with the Recreio in the Snal by the narrowest possible margin of one game only, but this year the result has never been in doubt and they are by far the best team in this Division. They certainly deserve every con gratulation on their performances.

It is fairly safe to say now that the South China Athletic Associa tion, and the Hong Kong. Oricket Club will eventually occupy the second and third positions of the "B" Lengue, Table. Each has one more match to play. The former meet the Nippon Club and the latter the Kowloon Cricket Club and judging by form this season the Chinese and the E.K.C.C.- should win.
