It tells the story of the family of Lapidowitz a company of six all of whom are delightful people and the parts are really cleverly acted. Od Isaac Lapidowitz married Bridget O'Shaughnessy and Sally, Michael Abraham, laidar Patrick, and tiny Rebecca Patricia, come to cement the Irish-Jewish alliance, Isaac, Michael, and Rebecca carry the mark of their race in their facor, Sally and Isidor take after Jira. Lapidowitz, but they made a boisterously happy family, and keep the audience well amused till the fall of the curtain.

Beyond the family there are only two actors, the two claimants for Sally's favour, Pat Sweeny, an Irish policeman (Charles Delaner), and Stuart Gold, Jew and bon rivene (Roy D'Arcy). Perhaps the greatest credit should be given to the latter for Stuart Gold looks an absolute cad and it is not by any means a grateful role for a polieh ed actor like D'Arcy. He plays to perfection, the over-handsome, ua- ecrupulous. imitation gentleman who would be attractive to a girl of Sally's type, and it is perhaps because the part was distasteful that he does not claim the centre of the stage as he generally does. Isaac. the father, is very well play ed by Tenen Hoitz who is not weil known: Leon Holmes who plays the eldest freckled son is a familiar figure in comedies and plays up to his reputation here.
