British imports were not very high, but through cargo was very good with an average of over 3,000 tons per vessel. Fourteen arrivals and twelve departures were shown for the 24 hours ended at 9 am. yester- day and British ships headed the list with six arrivals and five de partures.

Through freights were high with a total of £2,494 bons Six British vessels carried 19,193 tons with the 5.8 Philoctetes (British) as best carrier with 8,400 tons of general cargo from Swansea and Bingapore. The JË. Oldenburg (German) from Hamburg and Singapore and 6,499 tons of general cargo.
