Eleven vessels discharged a total of 6,950 tons, three British ships being responsible for 816 tons. The best returns were shown, by the 5.5... Prominent (Norwegian) from Saigon with a cargo of 2,100 tons of rice, while the 3.8. Toyo Maru from Newchwang and Dairen had 1,505 tons of coal.
Through frights carried by five veascis amounted to 7,230 tons and three British ships carried 5,230 tons, Two British ships were best carriers. The as Speybank from San Francisco and Shanghai had 3,300 tone while the as. Phampenh (Agents Messrs. Wo Fat Sing) from Hoihow had 1,760 tans of salt.

Yesterday's Figures. Sixteen arrivals and seventeen departures were shown for yester- day and the general cargo returns showed alight improvement. Through freights were good with 19,000 tons.
Local imperts from fourteen dips amounted to 8,305 tons and four British ships discharged 2,198 tons. The s.8. Heng On (Chinese) was best cargo return with 1,709 tons of rice from Hoihow and Bangkok. The 3.3.
Kashima Maru from Middlesborough and Singapore had
1.315 tous.,
Nine vessels carried through cargo and five British ships con- tributed 3,091 tons to the total figure. The two best carriers were

Death On President Boat. The master of the s.s. President Jefferson from Seattle and Shang- hai reports the death of a Chinese named Chin Lee on June 27th whilst at sea.
