Although there were eighteen arrivals and twenty-four depar. tures during the gi hours ended at a.m. yesterday the cargo returns for both Hong Kong and through parts showed a heavy decrease from the previous day's figures. There were four British arrivals and seven departures and ride was the principal cargo for this port.
Twelve vessele discharged a total of 10,153 tons and three British ships contributed 1,140 tons. The two best returns were shown by two Norwegian Tenge's with cargoes of from Bangkok. The Hardrot discharged 1,900 tons, and the a.s. Hero 1,790 tans.

Through cargoes "carried, by six ships amounted to 6,531 tons and three British vessels carried 1,730 tuns. The so. Genon Muru was the best carrier with 2,803 tons" from Yokohama and Shanghai while the 5.5. Hubry from Keelung had 2,135 tons of coal. The latter is a Nor- wegian steamer,
