Through freights carried by nina -vessels amounted to 2,547 and four British steamers carried 3,480 tons. Two foreign vessels were best caz mers with 6,088 tons, and 4,172 tons. The best British carrier had 1,800 tona.

Among the Japanese steamers arriving in port yesterday was the+KASHGAR, sa. Indo Baru. She was formerly the ss. Indrapura, but was par chased by the Japanese shipping Company, Messrs. Utsubo Shosen Kinsen Kaisha. She was built in 1897 at Glasgow, Scotland by Meers. C. Connell & Company, and her engines which give a N.H.P. of 476 were installed by Messrs. Rowan & Sons, Glasgow.
Her gross tonnage is 0,001 tons," with a nett tonnage of 4,656 tone. She is registered at Fushamura, Japan as a Japanese vessel. Her dimensions are, Length 400 feet, Width 40.2 feet, and breath 29.3 foot
