LOCAL IMPORTS FAIR.“

THROUGH FREIGHT GOOD.

The general cargoes discharged from fourteen vessels for Hong Keng during the 4 hours ended at Uam, were only fair. Through freights, although, slightly lower than the previous day's total were good. There were seventeen ar- rivals and eighteen departures, but general cargoes carried by British

very low.

The total amount of merchandise for. Hong Kong, amounted to 13,027 tons, of which three British vessela contributed 1,801 tons. The Chinese vessel Heng Cheng discharged the most cargo, 2,000 tons of rice from Bangkok and Kasichang, while the 8.3 Dubat (Norwegian) also dis- charged 1,740 tons of rice from Bangkok.

Through freights amounted to 97,009 tars but two British vessels wers responsible for only 760 tons. Two Japanese ships were best car; riers. The as Haruna Mary car ried 6,681 tons of general cargo from Middlesbrough and Singa pore, and the sa. Akita Maru hud 3,389 tons, from Calcutta and Singapore.
