YESTERDAY'S STATEMENT.
For the period ending at 9 a.m. yesterday there were twenty arrivals and nineteen departures Once again British vessels figured pro- minently as cargo carriers. British ships totalled six arrivals and xix departures. General fraight man fested for this post came to 21,340 tons and four British vessels con-
tributed 4,227 tons The Tateishi Maru had 5,549 tons of coal from, Milke, and the Davidken (Norve gian) had 3,200 tons from Bangkok and Koshichang.
The as Glenshiel was the best British carrier with 1.939 tons. Through freight amounted to 31.997 téns, and four British vessels had 0,247 tons.
