YESTERDAY'S FREIGHT
RETURNS.
NORMAL CARGO RETURNS.
SIXTEEN ARRIVALS.
There were sixteen arrivals and nige departures recorded at the Harbour Office yesterday for the period ending at 9 a... and general freights discharged for Hong Kong remained normal. Through freights were slightly lower that the pre vious day. The total amount of general cargo discharged for this port amounted to 19,490 tons, and three British vessels contributed 2,250 tons.
The "two best returns were Irem the as Aurea (Norwegian) with 419 tons from San Pedro and Yokohama, and the a. Takasaga Maru from Bangkok with 2,500 tons of rice.
Through freight amounted to 10,998 tons, of which 3,166 tons were contributed by four British vessels. The Norwegian vessel as. Deli was the best carrier with 4,300 tons of general cargo from Rotterdam and Los Angeles, and the Dutch steamer 'jikenbang was second best with | 3,995 tons from Bataría and Tand-
jon Pandan.
