that any right they conceive the Orduance Department to possess,
shall in no case
be
compromised
by his conceding to the Public the
use
of
the Parade Ground when
aware
not required for Military purposes- The Governor deems it proper that you should be fully of the above facts, and further that the right of the Civil - Government to the space of ground adjoining the Sea had been questioned by the Board of Respective Officers in March last, when the Surveyor General commenced elearing it._ In His Excellency's judgment, the Military
